Bucket AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Bucket AI mobile application (“App”). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and profile information.
• Support Requests: If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide in your communications.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Session Data: Basketball shooting session statistics including shot counts, shot types, court positions, shooting percentages, and timestamps.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and general diagnostic data.
• Usage Data: App feature usage, session duration, and interaction patterns to help us improve the App.

2.3 Camera Data

The App requires access to your device camera to provide real-time shot tracking and court calibration. Camera frames are processed on-device by our AI models in real-time and are not stored, transmitted, or recorded unless you explicitly choose to use the optional post-game deep analysis feature, in which case processed session data (not raw video) is sent to our secure cloud servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
• Process your basketball sessions and generate performance analytics, heatmaps, and statistics.
• Run post-game deep analysis on our cloud servers when you opt in to this feature.
• Improve and personalize your experience, including improving our AI models.
• Send you notifications related to your sessions, account, or the App (e.g., when your post-game analysis is ready).
• Respond to your support inquiries and provide customer service.
• Monitor and analyze usage trends and preferences to improve the App.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats.

4. Data Processing and Storage

4.1 On-Device Processing

All real-time shot tracking, skeleton pose detection, ball trajectory analysis, and court calibration are performed entirely on your device using on-device AI models. This data does not leave your device during live sessions.

4.2 Cloud Processing

When you opt in to the post-game deep analysis feature, processed session data (shot events, timestamps, court positions, and related metadata - not raw camera frames) is transmitted to our secure cloud servers for enhanced analysis using more powerful AI models. This data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption.

4.3 Data Retention

Session data is stored on your device and, if you have a Pro subscription, synced to our cloud servers for backup and cross-device access. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our cloud infrastructure, analytics, and customer support, subject to confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
• Aggregated Data: We may share aggregated, anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you (e.g., average shooting statistics across all users).

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchase processing. Apple's privacy policy applies to transactions processed through the App Store.
• Cloud Hosting: We use secure cloud infrastructure to host our post-game analysis pipeline and user account data.
• Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how the App is used. These tools collect anonymized usage data only.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. You can do this from the App settings or by contacting us.
• Data Portability: Request an export of your session data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt-Out: Opt out of post-game cloud analysis at any time. Disable push notifications through your device settings.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete such information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

11. Apple App Tracking Transparency

Bucket AI does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. We do not use the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) or participate in any advertising tracking. We comply with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
